Food is never what we really desire

Don’t get me wrong – I really enjoy growing, cooking and eating food. And as a child, I thought it would give me what I was really craving. I didn’t know then that I was looking in the wrong place, so I kept trying to get it through food, overate and became fat.

Attention, being noticed and, more importantly, being validated for who I was within my family.
