Fear is contagious-but it doesn’t have to be

Fear is a very important emotion. It has led to a vast array of species to survive. We’re no different. However, fear can be contagious and unhelpful, dangerous even. I’ve been at sports matches and music concerts when thousands have created a wave of emotion. Yet, as various tragedies have shown over the years, it takes a small change of emphasis for fear to do the same.
And this is well known by those who seek to create fear for their own advantage and gain.

I’ve included a few extracts from The Academy of Ideas about this subject.
Seems to be most apt at a time when perspective & proportion have taken an unwelcome leave of absence in the wake of an unusual health event.

So what can we do? We’re not in positions of power & influence. Well, no & yes. What can we have power, influence & control over? Our own lives and especially our internal world of thoughts & feelings

Taking personal responsibility for what we can affect, namely our own bodies, minds and feelings will have a beneficial effect, not just for ourselves but in the ripples we send out into our surroundings.

What I love is showing you how to move from conflict to connection, from argument to agreement in ways that mean everyone gets what they truly desire.
